Most college visits can feel similar – lunch in the cafeteria, a tour of campus, and maybe a class visit or professor meeting. Olivet’s Purple and Gold Days aim to offers something more significant: a day full of connections, activities, and a preview of what it truly feels like to belong here.

At Olivet, we believe that stepping foot on our campus opens a doorway to understanding the heart of Olivet’s community and the wide array of opportunities awaiting you at Olivet. While individual campus visits offer a glimpse of the campus community, Purple and Gold (P&G) Days are your ticket to a deeper, more personalized understanding of life at Olivet.

Picture this: mingling with future classmates, engaging with professors and coaches, and even sharing a moment with the university president, Dr. Gregg Chenoweth. It’s more than a visit; it’s an immersion into the Olivet experience. A select few of these event days offer an overnight option that allow students to experience residential life firsthand, and spend a night amidst the student activities, energy, and ethos that defines Olivet.

Hannah Sears speaking to students in Admissions

Hannah Sears ’21, Senior Admissions Counselor, captures the essence perfectly: “there’s so much joy and energy throughout the day from staff, faculty, and prospective students, that just makes the day feel electric! So many great people to meet, plus coffee, donuts, lunch and a free ONU t-shirt!”

Last semester, Olivet welcomed over 600 families from 32 states to campus and the majority attended a Purple and Gold Day. Luke Franklin ’11/’14 MA, ’23 MBA, Executive Director of Traditional Enrollment, shares his insight, “The best part? Ending the day with students who confirmed Olivet is their college. They started the day with excitement and questions, but after an immersive experience at Olivet, they left knowing that they belong at Olivet.”

Attend a Purple and Gold Day to see what your life could look like as an Olivet Tiger. Be sure to register soon, as we expect these events to reach capacity quickly!
