Overview
Olivet graduates integrate faith and lifelong learning as they demonstrate the development of leadership skills and understanding of the dynamic healthcare environment.
In an effort to stimulate constructive change, students apply ethical, moral, spiritual and professional concepts into their daily nursing practice. Students, employers and society can be confident that Olivet’s accredited nursing programs meet the quality standards of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation.
Coursework also covers each essential of learning, as defined by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). Olivet graduates enrolled in the pre-licensure program consistently exceed the national average pass rate for the NCLEX-RN, the required licensing exam for registered nurses.
Accredited. The baccalaureate degree, master’s degree, and post-graduate APRN certificate programs in nursing at Olivet Nazarene University are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
School of Nursing Programs
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is a highly respected degree with an ever-growing national demand.
If you feel a calling to the profession of nursing, Olivet’s traditional BSN program is designed for you. This program integrates nursing theory with skills required for nursing practice — providing a professional foundation. Through the BSN program, you will gain valuable patient care experience, critical decision-making skills, and confidence. This full-time, 4-year degree program combines in-person classroom learning with hands-on clinical practice. Students with enough transfer credits may also graduate in as little as 5 semesters.
Our pre-licensure programs meet the educational requirements leading to professional licensure by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) through the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX). As a nurse, you will make a difference in the lives of others. You will be challenged and satisfied, knowing nursing is more than just a profession — it’s a passion.
Combine the RN-BSN and MSN Degree options into one seamless program that will get you the specialization you need to thrive in healthcare.

Nursing students have many opportunities to practice their patient care and leadership skills in developing countries. Often they teach children and adults about personal hygiene and help parents learn how to treat illnesses and injuries in their families.
It was encouraging to hear that I didn’t have to choose between a good education and one that would challenge me to grow spiritually.
