The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Actuarial Science is for students who are interested in analyzing statistics for the purpose of making risk assessments in financial markets, insurance industries and more.
Architectural Engineering Concentration
This program is designed for the student who wishes to master the art of lending an architectural engineer’s perspective in the design, planning and construction of the buildings of tomorrow.
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology is for the student who wishes to engage in the knowledge and the tools to understand — perhaps even uncover — the latest discoveries in an effort to solve complex problems and enrich lives.
Chemical & Biochemical Engineering Concentration
The Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) degree is an ABET accredited program. Students may choose a concentration in chemical engineering.
Earn a degree in Chemistry and prepare for a career in Forensic Science, Biochemistry or General Chemistry.
Civil Engineering Concentration
The Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) degree is an ABET accredited program. Students may choose a concentration in civil engineering. This program is designed for the student who wants to engage in the design and function of every aspect of civic and community life– from roads and tunnels to parks, buildings and waterways.
Computer Engineering Concentration
The Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) degree is an ABET accredited program. Students may choose a concentration in computer engineering.
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree or minor in Data Science is for students who are interested in processing information through data and statistics.
Earth and Space Science
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Earth and Space Science is a balance of theory, laboratory skills and techniques, planetarium operation training and research.
Electrical Engineering Concentration
The Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B.S.E.) degree is an ABET accredited program. Students may choose a concentration in electrical engineering. This program is designed for the student who desires to develop skills as a future electronics innovator.
The Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Environmental Science is for students who desire to develop the necessary skills to create meaningful changes for our Earth.
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or minor in Geological Sciences focuses on the study of Earth, its composition, structure and physical elements, and examines Earth’s past and present in order to make predictions about its future.
The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or minor in geography is the bridge between the physical and cultural worlds. Geographers observe and measure the human use of the earth to better understand our changing environment, society and culture.
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in mathematics teaching is a program designed for students with a passion for teaching and skills in mathematics.
Mechanical Engineering Concentration
This program is designed for students who want to design and fabricate the next generation of machines and innovations that drive products we use every day — cars, airplanes, factory equipment, medical devices, power generation systems and much more.
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physical Sciences is for those who wish to take a closer look at the complexity of our world’s non-living systems, to explore the dynamics of the physical world, and to learn about the interrelationships of science and the environment.

Meet Dr. Dale Hathaway
Dr. Hathaway is the Associate Dean of the School of STEM
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Hathaway has been active in research with a dozen publications, including the textbook that is used for Olivet’s mathematics for the liberal arts course. He recently had another book published entitled Mathematical Devotionals, which contains a year’s worth of devotionals, at least loosely related to mathematics.

With the dedication of the Martin D. “Skip” Walker School of Engineering and Technology on October 6, 2015, the STEM programs entered a new era of innovation.
In his career spanning six decades, Mr. Walker epitomized Christian business leadership in guiding and growing a number of leading manufacturing and business enterprises. He and his family have supported countless industry, corporate and nonprofit organizations through volunteer service.
