On April 17, 2024, Olivet Nazarene University will launch its 8th annual 24-hour philanthropic event, Day of Giving. The University is inviting alumni, faculty, staff, community members and students to contribute to meeting the financial needs of current and future generations of Olivet students.

Fuel the Mission

A university education is a hefty investment and 99% of Olivet students receive financial support in the form of scholarships, grants and loans. Development initiatives, like Day of Giving, ensure that Olivet students will receive necessary financial assistance to pursue a robust education that encourages community involvement.

Hosted by Olivet’s Office of Development, the goal of Day of Giving is for 1500 people to support Olivet by making a financial gift between noon on April 17 and noon on April 18. Supporters can choose from more than 50 projects to support in hopes of advancing the student experience at Olivet through increased scholarship opportunities, enhanced academic resources and improved athletic programs.

For more than 80 years, Olivet has contributed to the community in Kankakee County. Every year, the University offers free events such as the Sounds of the Season Christmas concert and the Ovid Young Organ Recital Series; hosts sports camps to introduce young athletes to a university environment as they improve skills; performs stellar renditions of award-winning plays and musicals; and accommodates community events such as high school graduations, band concerts, and art festivals.

Consider taking a moment help fuel the mission of Olivet by giving on April 17!
