Favorite class at Olivet: My favorite class at olivet was Introduction to Philosophy. I'm not a philosopher by any means, but it taught me how to think in new and fresh ways. I applied what I learned in the class to every other class I took for the rest of my college career!

Best Olivet memory: There are simply too many to choose from. All of my best memories from Olivet include laughter. Some of those come from events like the Silent Disco or Broadway Revue, but a lot of them come from simply spending time with roommates and friends. Olivet's culture truly begets joy.

Favorite ONU prof: Professor David Wine is one of my favorite ONU faculty members. His intentionality and compassion is second to none. Though I learned a plethora of things from him as a professor, I think I've learned even more from him as a friend and mentor.

What makes Olivet different from other universities: Olivet is an extremely hospitable university. From the moment you walk in the door at Admissions to the time you cross the Chapel stage as you graduate, you feel seen, known, and loved. It's a warm environment, modeled after the unending love of Jesus.

Hobbies: I'm basically always listening to music, and that's a hobby that infiltrates many areas of my life: worship ministry, musical theatre, playing piano, etc. When it comes down to it, I simply love doing "nothing" with people that mean everything to me.

Favorite extracurricular activity as a student: Musical Theatre! I was part of a number of ONU productions in my time as an undergrad. It gave me a creative outlet, as well as many lifelong friends.

Favorite college trip: I was able to travel to Indianapolis, IN with one of my Social Work professors to present at the National Association of Christian Social Workers' annual convention. It was such a great opportunity not only to present my research, but also to make professional connections that I can rely on in the future.

Favorite place to eat in town: If you're thinking local, Isidros definitely takes the cake. If you're thinking chain, Culver's (because, of course, cheese curds).

Favorite campus tradition: Mr. ONU is a talent competition between 8 undergraduate guys that takes place in January. Think ... America's Got Talent mixed with The Bachelor. It is definitely one of my favorite on-campus events to go to.

Favorite thing to do in Chicago: Chicago has so many fun concert venues. I've seen a number of bands play there over my years at Olivet!

Advice for new students: Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Throughout college, God will place things, people, and events in your path that can shape you for the rest of your life.

Favorite Bible verse: Isaiah 43:19
