School of Business

Professor Chris Perez joined Olivet’s full-time faculty in 2017. Chris currently serves as the Entrepreneurship Faculty & Program Director in support of the newly formed Entrepreneurship major.

“God is the first entrepreneur because He created something from nothing and took a personal risk. Similarly, the “call” of the entrepreneur is to act in faith, take personal risks to solve problems and create something good in the service of others.”

He has taught courses in marketing, management and entrepreneurship. His career experience includes over 20 years as a marketing professional in various roles, including client services, brand management, content innovation, product marketing and e-commerce. As an educator, he is excited to help students discover God as the Mastermind of work. His goal is to train world-class professionals who view marketing as a calling.

Chris has been married for 25 years and has two daughters, one son, two son-in-laws, and one granddaughter.

One of his favorite Bible passages is Proverbs 3:5–6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
