Starting freshman year, students receive instruction directly from their professors, instead of just meeting a list of assignments and deadlines on their own. Dr. Leon Blanchette
Dr. Leon Blanchette is a professor, children’s pastor, leader, speaker and author who has given his life to the service with children and their families. He has conducted extensive research and has written several book chapters and journal articles on ministry with children and families. He also serves as part-time children’s pastor at Kankakee First Church of the Nazarene.
Olivet was formative for my professional life and transformative for my spiritual life. The school prepared me excellently for a life of ministry leadership and resilient faith. I have had the opportunity to lead church, non-profit, and academic ministry with the strong foundation given to me by the professors and administration at Olivet.
