Olivet Nazarene University has again been honored by the third-party endorsement association Colleges of Distinction as a 2024–2025 College of Distinction for its unwavering commitment to providing an exceptional undergraduate education. For the tenth year in a row, Olivet was also recognized with a 2024–2025 Illinois College of Distinction and a 2024–2025 Christian College of Distinction.

For the fifth year straight, Olivet’s McGraw School of Business, School of Nursing, School of Education and Martin D. Walker School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics also each received a badge for departmental excellence.

The Colleges of Distinction organization has consistently recognized Olivet for being at the forefront of American higher education. With a modern, student-centered approach to teaching, Olivet offers a unique learning environment and academic programming that engages students with small class sizes, practical clinical experiences, spring break and summer volunteer projects, global learning opportunities, interdisciplinary programs, collaborative assignments and projects, and hundreds of undergraduate research and internship opportunities.

Based on a selection process that reviews each institution’s freshmen experience and retention efforts alongside its general education programs, alumni success, strategic plan, student satisfaction and more, Colleges of Distinction recognized Olivet for its comprehensive student activities, high-impact practices and campus resources. Schools are accepted on the basis that the institutions engage students, provide great teaching, facilitate a vibrant community and yield successful outcomes.

•    Strongly focused on teaching undergraduates
•    Home to a wide variety of innovative learning experiences
