Biblical Studies Degree

The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or minor in Biblical Studies provides students the opportunity to study the literary, historical and theological dimensions of the text.

About the Degree

The B.A. in Biblical Studies provides the academic foundation and theological training for students seeking to serve in a local church or parachurch ministry, continue ministry preparation at a graduate or seminary level, or acquire advanced training in preparation for a teaching and/or research career.

Biblical Studies Students

  • Study the world of the Bible and the biblical text, ancient and medieval philosophy, Greek, Hebrew, theology and history of Christianity.
  • Gain knowledge about the Bible from professors involved in their own research and writing.
  • Attend conferences — for example, The Society of Biblical Literature — and learn from noted Bible scholars.
