On Sept. 23, 2025, U.S. News & World Report released the 2026 “Best Colleges” report, and Olivet Nazarene University once again received distinguished rankings and recognition, including a ranking as a best Regional University–Midwest and a best Undergraduate Nursing Program.

The University was also recognized as a Top Performer on Social Mobility, acknowledging that undergraduates who enter college at a social and/or economic disadvantage often experience positive outcomes at Olivet. Additionally, Olivet was ranked as a best Undergraduate Engineering Program (in a category of schools where doctoral degrees in engineering are not offered).

All of the U.S. News rankings took into consideration various factors including retention and graduation rates, faculty and financial resources, student excellence and alumni engagement.

For more than 30 years, the rankings and advice from U.S. News have served as a valuable consumer reference for students and families as they navigate the college search process. The annual “Best Colleges” report reflects an analysis of 1,700 U.S. colleges and universities across multiple numerical ranking categories to help students consider their options for higher education as they navigate which factors to prioritize in their personal search.

Since 1907, Olivet has continued to provide an “Education With a Christian Purpose” in offering a unique, student-centered learning environment that are enhanced by mission trip opportunities, global learning programs, collaborative assignments, undergraduate research projects and internship opportunities.
