Template – School/College page WITH departments
This template is intended to inform what a full comprehensive school/college page (that contains departments) should be structured like. From here, the admin has the freedom to remove page blocks as needed. We also like the video bg for this template.

We like the idea of leading with some kind of overview about the school/college, along with a nice photo. This is just good table setting for the information that comes below. If the previous website had a lot of text in the hero, perhaps much of that text could be moved to this section here… our goal is to limit the paragraph text in the hero to 250 characters.
Let’s supplement the overview with a testimonial, too. Could be a student, could be a faculty member. Testimonials are great validators, especially when paired with a headshot.

We like the idea of providing some high-level info about the department’s faculty, and even supplementing with a quote.
This approach is nice if you want to just acknowledge the faculty of a school, while not devoting too much screen real estate, and then provide a CTA that sends users to a pre-filtered view of their respective faculty. But we have an alternative approach down below.

This could be an alternative approach for enticing users to take action. After a user has scrolled down the page this far, these simple purple buttons could be more enticing.
We could use this space to sum up much of the text that’s written in the option above. We could talk about exploring the campus, etc, and then plainly list the specific CTAs below.
