Innovation and Technology

Olivet Nazarene University has been selected as a winner of the 2024 Ellucian Impact Awards in the Innovation category, recognizing the university’s use of technology to provide students with a holistic support program throughout the enrollment process, and beyond. University president Dr. Gregg Chenoweth was notified of the recognition earlier this month.

Ellucian provides innovation through software and data solutions for higher education, partnering with more than 2,900 customers across 50 countries. Their products serve 22 million students.

The Ellucian Impact Awards celebrate the higher education visionaries who are inspiring others to push the boundaries of technology and innovation. The annual award recognizes institutions using technology to solve challenges, operate more efficiently, and offer a better student experience.

Kevin Hatcher, Olivet’s Executive Director of Revenue, Technology and Operations for Development will receive the accolade at the Ellucian Live event in San Antonio, Texas this April.

“The Enrollment Operations Department at Olivet demonstrated outstanding collaboration and teamwork during the management of a complex software system transition for graduate and continuing studies recruitment within a limited timeframe,” stated Hatcher. “This was achieved without compromising the consistent support and development of traditional undergraduate enrollment and the just-launched ONU Plus programs.”

Tania Stott, Associate Director of Admissions Operations, submitted the requisite materials allowing Olivet to be eligible for this special recognition, and its accompanying $25,000 prize.

“Ellucian’s CRM Recruit, which is constructed on the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform, offers significant versatility in addressing challenges in higher education recruitment and enrollment,” said Stott. “This software is crafted to act as a tool that can coordinate enrollment strategies, operations, and communications towards a cohesive direction.”
