Olivet celebrates 110th commencement and graduation weekend.

Commencement activities began Saturday, April 29th and will continue on May 5th and 6th.

Activities began Saturday, April 29th, for Olivet Nazarene University’s 110th Annual Commencement with Dr. Neal Woodruff conducting the University Orchestra and selected soloists in the annual Commencement Concert. Commencement activities will continue on May 5th and 6th. Please see the schedule below for details.


Friday, May 5
10:00 am Social Work Pinning Ceremony, Larsen Fine Arts Center, Kresge Auditorium
1:00 p.m. Teacher Education Sending Service, Wisner Auditorium
2:00 p.m. Nursing Pinning Ceremony, Larsen Fine Arts Center, Kresge Auditorium
4:00 p.m. Kappa Sigma Induction, Larsen Fine Arts Center, Kresge Auditorium
5:30 p.m. Phi Delta Lambda reception and induction ceremony, Ludwig Center, Nash Banquet Room (by invitation only)
7:30 p.m. Baccalaureate Service: Speaker, Betty and Kenneth Hawkins Centennial Chapel
Overflow seating will be in Wisner Hall of Nursing Auditorium.

*PLEASE NOTE: Graduates will sit with family and friends during the Baccalaureate Service. Graduates, dressed in their academic robes, should be seated in the Centennial Chapel no later than 7:15 p.m. Only trustees and faculty will march in the academic processional for this service. Graduates and their families are reminded that there will be open seating on the main floor of the Centennial Chapel.

8:45 a.m. Line of March for degree candidates and faculty forms, Weber Center
9:00 a.m. Prelude, Organ
9:15 a.m. March begins at Weber Center
9:30 a.m. Commencement Convocation for Traditional Undergraduate Students, Betty and Kenneth Hawkins Centennial Chapel

Admission to the Centennial Chapel seating area will be limited to four (4) guests for each graduate. Tickets will be requested through the Brushfire online ticketing service.

*PLEASE NOTE: Anticipated indoor overflow seating for closed-circuit viewing will be in Chalfant Hall and Wisner Auditorium. Available overflow seating will not require a ticket.
