At Olivet Nazarene University, intentional spiritual development is part of the foundation of the school’s mission to provide an “Education With a Christian Purpose,” to all students.
Every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. and Thursday at 9:30 a.m., students, faculty and staff gather in Centennial Chapel to hear from leading speakers representing a variety of industries and faith backgrounds. Every chapel service also features music led by student and staff musicians to create an environment of focused worship.
University Chaplain Ryan Green and the Spiritual Life staff work hard to create an environment in which the campus can connect and build community together. In addition to regular sermons from Chaplain Green, the fall chapel schedule includes well-regarded speakers, whose messages seek to encourage the campus community.
This semester, most chapel messages will focus on scripture passages which follow a campus-wide Bible reading plan. Fall semester sermons will cover Old Testament passages as the community explores what it means to live out the University’s mission statement by unpacking four key words: Be, Become, Do and Go.
