A six-foot midfielder, Marcus was one of only 11 student-athletes from across the nation to be named to this year’s First Team College Division. He is one of only four to have a cumulative GPA of 4.00.

Marcus started 20 of 21 games in 2017. He scored five goals, had three assists and 13 total points. He finished with 36 shots and 19 shots on goal.

The first and second teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. The awards are voted on by current dues-paying group and individual members of CoSIDA.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division soccer teams are comprised of student-athletes from NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions.
