On Tuesday, November 28, Olivet will host its fourth annual Giving Tuesday event. This 24-hour philanthropic event is a part of an international movement that began in 2012, inspiring collective action toward good amidst the hustle of the holiday season.

“This year as we celebrate the joy and impact of giving, we celebrate the Olivet family,” says Director of The Olivet Fund, Austin Brown ’19/’21 MAR. “For generations, Olivet has been a place that brings people together – students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. Whether it’s through time, money, or prayer, the Olivet family is extremely generous. We all benefit from our culture of generosity.”

Throughout the event, participants are encouraged to help support the campus community by giving through student scholarships, academics, athletics or purchasing the 2023 Christmas ornament. Stories from featured faculty, staff, and students who embody Olivet’s welcoming and hospitable culture will also be shared.

Those in the Olivet community are encouraged to participate in whatever way they are able to whether they give in support of the University or help spread the word on social media by sharing university posts about the event and what the Olivet family means to them.

You can make a difference!
