Accounting students receive hands-on experience in taxation, auditing, mergers & acquisitions, cost accounting, budget forecasting and more. This program is taught by CPAs, Attorneys and Ph.D.s – all academic and professional practitioners.

Graduates from Olivet’s McGraw School of Business are poised to find career opportunities in business, industry or government. These young professionals are technologically prepared to help businesses with their systems and assist managers and employees in understanding them. The job outlook for these occupations is growing faster than average due to the ever-growing demand for technology. All programs in School of Business meet the diverse needs of students preparing for future careers. Built within the business courses are the opportunities to earn professional certifications for a variety of software and social media management platforms to add value to students' Olivet experience.

In 2017, Olivet established The McGraw School of Business in honor of Michael "Mick" McGraw, president and CEO of Eastbrook Homes, to recognize his generous support of the University, his sterling career, his life of service and his Christian character.

Olivet students regularly compete in national competitions to demonstrate their business acumen. Olivet's Enactus presentation team ranked in the top 12 of the 400+ presentation teams in the nation during the 2019-20 academic year. Olivet's Student Society of Human Resource Management (SSHRM) presentation team regularly places among the top teams in Division I Case Competitions. 

Meet the Faculty

Dr. Glen Rewerts, dean of the School of Business, has led Olivet's business program since 1993. A licensed attorney in the state of Illinois, a local businessman and community leader, Dr. Rewerts' passion is for the cause of Christ and the integration of faith into Christian colleges and universities.
