“Stars” at Strickler Planetarium

Olivet Nazarene University’s Strickler Planetarium will host “Stars,” a show that focuses on the lives of the stars, how they are born, how they die and how human understanding of the stars has changed over time. There are no reservations necessary, and the cost is $5 per person (cash only) at the door.

Narrated by Star Wars’ Mark Hamill and with a soundtrack performed by the Nashville Orchestra, this show explores the dynamic life and death of stars, the powerhouses of the universe. STARS explores star birth, giant stars, pulsars and black holes as well as a providing a brief history of astronomy and an introduction to our solar system, the galaxy and the nature of light.
