Biblical Studies

Methodologies, both past and present, are introduced and utilized in order to help students comprehend the Bible’s message in its original cultural setting and to consider its implications for a contemporary audience.

The Department of Biblical Studies enables those desiring to prepare for professional ministry or graduate studies to gain entry-level knowledge and skills including Christian education and spiritual formation.

About the Degree

Starting freshman year, students receive instruction directly from their professors, instead of just meeting a list of assignments and deadlines on their own. Olivet professors have a long track record of research, practical experience and mentoring students. Students may choose a concentration from various options.
