On April 15, Olivet Nazarene University will celebrate a major milestone with an audacious goal: raising $1 million for the 10th annual Day of Giving.
“This is a breakthrough moment for Olivet and Day of Giving,” said Austin Brown ’19/’21 M.A., who will lead the charge as director of annual and leadership giving. “We’ll show just how much ‘Education With a Christian Purpose’ means to us.”
The Day of Giving has become a pillar of financial support for the University, rallying alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff and friends in a powerful show of generosity. This year’s celebration will be more vibrant and community-centered than ever before.
For the first time, the day will feature an on-campus kickoff beginning at noon in Allen Plaza at the Quad, inviting the campus community to gather, celebrate and take part in the momentum together. Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy free treats, interactive photo opportunities and moments designed to foster connection and school spirit.
The celebration will continue into the evening with the Day of Giving 5K Color Run, kicking off at 5:00 p.m. Whether participants choose to walk, run, scooter, or rollerblade, the event is designed for everyone to join in the fun. Friends, family and neighbors are all invited to take part in this high-energy experience, where every registrant receives a t-shirt and a chance to get a little more colorful along the way.
Following the run, faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends are invited to gather with their families for a complimentary picnic dinner in Ludwig Dining Hall, sponsored by Sodexo. The evening offers a meaningful opportunity to slow down, connect and celebrate the impact of the day together.
With a few surprises planned, including interactive activities like a dunk tank, the 10th annual Day of Giving promises to be both impactful and unforgettable.
As the Olivet community comes together around one shared mission, April 15 will be more than a day of giving, it will be a celebration of generosity, connection and the lasting impact of the Olivet mission.
