The Veritas Program: Christianity, Culture, and Character, with 20 students per cohort, is a fully online first year experience program available to a limited number of traditional ONU students.

Each semester will be comprised of 15 fully online credit hours, with a focus on academic inquiry, social connection, spiritual growth, and civic action. Successful completion of these courses will result in 15 credits of interdisciplinary General Education coursework. Click here to learn more.

Affordability

This program is priced competitively at $9,600 total for the fall and spring semesters.  Grants and need-based aid are available.  Please contact the Office of Admissions at 800-648-1463 to receive a complete financial aid award package.

Dr. Jay Martinson

The Veritas Program will be taught by excellent, seasoned Olivet faculty members. Dr. Jay Martinson, Dean of Online Learning for the residential campus will give leadership to the entire Veritas program and student experience. Dr. Martinson, or Dr. Jay as he is known by students and colleagues, has been a part of the teaching faculty at Olivet for 27 years, most recently chairing the Department of Communication.

Over his long tenure, he has developed a reputation as an outstanding classroom instructor. Dr. Jay holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois and has been one of the faculty pioneers in online education at ONU, teaching a wide variety of courses on both the residential and ONU Global campuses.
