We are proud to welcome over 150 military-connected students into our Olivet community.
A Support System You Can Count On
At Olivet, students are supported socially, spiritually, and practically—especially while living far from home. Olivet provides a dedicated support system for military-connected students. Staff members like Karl Lotzer, Olivet’s Military Support Specialist, walk closely with students, providing mentorship, spiritual guidance and practical help such as rides to the airport and grade check-ins throughout the year. At Olivet, we see every student not as a number but as a unique individual with a story, a background and a mission.

You’ll never be far from the chance to visit family stateside or from active duty family members stationed overseas.
Maximizing Military Benefits
Many of our military families have earned the Chapter 33 GI Bill Benefits, or have earned benefits through Chapter 35: DEA for disabled veterans. Olivet Nazarene University maximizes military benefits for both groups.
As a Yellow Ribbon school, qualifying students have 100% of their tuition and mandatory fees covered. We offer unlimited participation in the Yellow Ribbon program with no cap. Which means there is no additional qualification and no student waitlist. Every qualifying student is accepted.
Additionally, Olivet covers the cost of Housing and Meals for every student who qualifies for the Post 9/11 GI Bill. That means your MHA funds can be saved and invested for future tuition costs. At Olivet, students with less than 36 months of eligible benefits often still graduate on time and with no debt or additional costs.
