Matt registered eight top five finishes among the 12 meets in which he competed during the 2016-17 campaign. In four of those meets, he claimed individual medalist honors and was runner-up on one occasion.

He also placed third at the CCAC Championships to earn all-tournament accolades. He placed fourth place as a freshman in last year’s championship rounds.

Matt shot eight of his 22 rounds at par or better on the season highlighted by a five under par 67 at the University of St. Francis (Illinois) Fall Classic back in September. He finished the year with an average round of 74.2.
