Olivet Tiger women’s golf team wins 1-2-3 at intercollegiate home meet

Olivet placed first as a team and captured the top three individual spots.

Olivet Nazarene University Tiger women’s golf team dominated the Fall Tiger Intercollegiate on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 7 and 8, 2018, in Kankakee, Illinois.

The Tigers finished 1-2-3, led by Margaux Catafort-Silva, a freshman engineering major from Mehun-sur-Yevre, France. She shot a stellar three-over par 75 to open play on Friday and finished the weekend at 155 (+11). Makenzie Fisk, a junior majoring in business administration and economics, placed second at 156 (+12) — just one shot behind Margaux. Mackenzie Mehaffey, a senior majoring in multimedia communications, dropped six shots on day two to finish third at 163 (+19).

With 644 (+68), Olivet Nazarene University defeated Marian University (Indiana) with 679 (+103); Purdue University – Northwest (Indiana) with 683 (+55); and University of St. Francis (Illinois) with 690 (+114).
