Nic Reed scores 1,000th career point in Tiger men’s basketball victory

In only his 45th career game, Nic Reed became the Olivet player to reach this treasured scoring milestone quickest in program history. During the Olivet Nazarene University Tiger men’s basketball game against (RV) Keiser University (Florida) on Friday, Dec. 29, forward Nic Reed made history. With 11:32 to go in the first half, he finished a lay-up with contact to give him nine points.

In only his 45th career game, Nic Reed became the Olivet player to reach this treasured scoring milestone quickest in program history. During the Olivet Nazarene University Tiger men’s basketball game against (RV) Keiser University (Florida) on Friday, Dec. 29, forward Nic Reed made history. With 11:32 to go in the first half, he finished a lay-up with contact to give him nine points. That hard-earned bucket turned out to be very memorable for the sophomore business major, however, as he also achieved the career milestone of 1,000 points.

Nic finished the game with 25 points and 11 rebounds. He led the Tigers to a 95-89 victory — the team’s third consecutive win for the season and first ever over the Seahawks.
