Coach Reid, now in his 10th season with the Tigers, was named the 2016 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Coach of the Year. That same season, his team captured the CCAC Regular Season Co-Championship and advanced to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship Opening Round. The Tigers and Coach Reid have also enjoyed five appearances in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) World Series. In 2010, he led the Tigers to the program’s 1,000th victory.

Two of Coach Reid’s players have been selected in the Major League Baseball draft. Ben Heller made his major league debut in 2016 with the New York Yankees. He was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 2013. Josh Altmann was drafted by the Texas Rangers in 2015.

In his career and personal life, Coach Reid does all in the name of Jesus. In baseball, professional pursuits, relationships with others, and the study and discipleship of faith, he holds fast to his commitment to “Winning Championships and Developing Champions.”

“I am blessed to be part of the Olivet athletics program and its rich history and tradition,” Coach Reid says. “I’m standing on the foundation laid by previous coaches to make Tiger baseball one of the top Christian college baseball teams in the country. Our players represent greatness on and off the field.”
