Landon Miller

Director of Military Science & Veteran Affairs


Major Landon Miller hails from Niles, Michigan. He attended Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana. While at Bethel College, he earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice and received his commission through University of Notre Dame’s ROTC Program. After commissioning he attended Ordinance Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) at Fort Lee, Virginia.

MAJ Miller was first assigned to the 4th ABCT, 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas. While at Fort Bliss, he served in the Echo Forward Support Company, 4-6 Infantry Battalion from 2011-2015. During his time with 4-6 Infantry he served as a Maintenance Platoon Leader, Battalion Maintenance Officer, Company Executive Officer, and Battalion Logistics Officer. After departing Fort Bliss in January of 2016, he attended the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course at Fort Lee, Virginia. Following completion of the Captains Career Course, MAJ Miller was assigned to the 101st CAB as a Deputy SPO within 96th Aviation Support Battalion. In April of 2017, he took command of Echo Troop 2-17 Cavalry. He deployed with the Troop to Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve from August 2017 to March 2018. Upon completion of command in November 2018 he served as the Battalion Operations Officer in 526th BSB, 2BCT, 101st Airborne Division. In August 2019 he was stationed at Olivet Nazarene University to serve as an Assistant Professor of Military Science. He additionally serves as the program’s director.

MAJ Miller’s awards and decorations include: Meritorious service medal (oneOak Leaf Cluster), the Army Accommodation Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (three Oak Leaf Cluster), the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Operation Inherent Resolve Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, and the Air Assault Badge.

He is married to Lindsay Miller of Fort Pierce, FL. Lindsay is a registered nurse who left active duty in September. They have two sons, Isaiah and Lincoln.
