Exercise and Sports Science

Professor Todd Reid came to Olivet Nazarene University in 2007 and brought 10 years of teaching and coaching experience from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts. He is an Associate Professor in Olivet’s Exercise and Sports Science department and the Program Director for Sport Management and Recreation Sports studies.

Reid graduated with a degree in Sports Management and Sport Medicine from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and earned a master’s in Sport Medicine from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in Global Sports Leadership at East Tennessee State University. Reid is the former baseball coach for the ONU Tigers, stepping down in 2019 to take the full-time faculty position after leading the team to the NAIA National Tournament.

Reid is the all-time winningest baseball coach at both Olivet Nazarene University and Eastern Nazarene College. In his tenure with ONU, the Tigers won multiple championships and had two players selected in the Major League Baseball draft. For over 25 years, he has served as a professor, assistant director of athletics, sports information staff and director of intramurals. Reid continues to coach as the Bench Coach for the Traverse City Pit Spitters, a summer collegiate team in the Northwoods League. He brings experience in coaching, game-management, marketing and promotions, recreation and golf-course management to the EXSS department.

He resides in Bourbonnais with his wife, Wendy,f and three daughters, Maddux, Mia and Montana.
