Fuel creativity & expression. Foster excellence.
By sponsoring the Fine Arts at Olivet, you help ensure that the high quality of education and programming established many years ago continues to flourish and benefit our graduates and our communities.
From its earliest days, Olivet has celebrated music as a vital part of academic, social, and spiritual life. The School of Music has cultivated graduates who make their mark in classrooms and colleges nationwide. Performance majors shine in opera houses, musical theatre productions, and concert halls, performing alongside some of the nation’s leading ensembles. Composition graduates bring creativity to life, writing popular music and crafting scores for major films, commercials, and production houses.
Through hands-on classes, collaborative critiques and inspiring conversations, Olivet students explore their artistic passions and push through creative challenges toward success. With a wide range of concentrations, students sharpen their skills in diverse artistic mediums, preparing to bring beauty and innovation into the world.
Olivet’s Theatre Production and Performance program offers an artistic outlet and the professional training needed for success in the theatre industry. Students engage deeply in acting, directing, dramatic literature and technical theatre/stagecraft, while enjoying abundant opportunities to perform on campus and throughout the community all year long.
Your vested interest in community is a mirror of ours! Together, we are leading, caring, volunteering, inspiring, dreaming, investing and building to make lives better and to weave a stronger fabric throughout our region. Olivet’s students come here from around the world. Many graduates put down deep roots and touch multiple facets of community life: education, entrepreneurship, healthcare, spiritual formation and much more.
