General Studies

Supporting students’ academic success is an important responsibility. Olivet has a variety of services in place to support students as they pursue their degrees.

Courses are provided for students needing to develop their writing, math, and/or learning skills. Supplemental course instruction is offered for several general education courses. A peer tutoring program assists students who are struggling academically.

Students with physical and/or learning disabilities may request reasonable accommodations such as tutors, note takers, and extended time on exams.

Developing Leaders

Leadership is about far more than being good at what you do. Today’s leaders need highly developed skills, solid training and character.

More than at any other time in history, our world is suffering from a lack of good leadership — in our schools, homes, churches, businesses and government. With a focus on transformational, servant leadership, Olivet is committed to developing the confidence and skills students need to step up and meet our world’s greatest needs.

Areas of Study

Starting freshman year, students receive instruction directly from their professors, instead of just studying and meeting a list of deadlines on their own. Sometimes students need assistance, tutoring or additional studies. Education professionals are ready to help them find the boost they need.
