Director of Transfer Admissions & Transfer Counselor


Lauren graduated from Olivet Nazarene University in 2013 with her Bachelor of Arts in English. While attending Olivet, she was a member of Green Room Theatre Company, Student Education Association and the University Orchestra. She was also part of Mission in Action, where she opened healthcare clinics and taught Vacation Bible School in Argentina. Post graduation, she served as an Academic Advisor for Olivet’s School of Graduate and Continuing Studies. During that time, she volunteered through Outbound ONU at Feed My Starving Children, Phil’s Friends and the Salvation Army.

In 2023, Lauren obtained her Master’s in Higher Education: Leadership and Administration from Capella University. She graduated with distinction and was part of the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society for Educators. While obtaining her Master’s, she served as an Enrollment Counselor for Nursing and Health Sciences at Capella University. During that time, she also co-founded the Enrollment Services: Disability Services Subject Matter Expert Group and the Employee Neurodiversity Network Employee Resources Group.

In her personal life, Lauren is a wife to Kyle Rybolt and a dog mom to Poppie Marie Rybolt. She also continues to play her acoustic violin and electric violin. In addition to performing in community theatre, she previously served on the Kankakee Valley Theatre Association Board of Directors, first as the Hair and Makeup Director, and then as the Publicity Director (2019-2021).

As the Director of Transfer Admissions, Lauren’s love for transfer students continues to grow each day as she guides them personally, academically and spiritually. As a transfer student herself, she can speak to the love and support that she received from Olivet’s faculty and staff. Transferring to Olivet Nazarene University changed her life forever.
