Social Work and Criminal Justice

Professor Denault joined Olivet’s Social Work department in 2025, serving as the program director. She teaches an introductory class to the field, social work practice, mental health issues and human diversity.

As an alumna of Olivet’s Social Work program in 2009, she values the academic rigor, lifelong relationships, the spiritual development that Olivet continues to play in her life. After graduation, she continued her education at Aurora University where she obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work with a concentration in schools in 2010. She is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of Illinois.

As a school social worker, she was passionate about working with diverse, at-risk populations, including an alternative therapeutic day school, low-income schools, rural communities, and with individuals with special needs between ages 3-21 years old.

 She and her husband, PJ, are the proud parents of two energetic children, Paisley and Kinsley. PJ is a correctional officer who can be found fixing up the house, boat, camper or old cars. When she’s not chasing her kids around the house, professor Denault enjoys playing church volleyball and sand volleyball, going to the gym, drinking iced coffee with friends and meeting up at Panera with her small group. As a native of Wisconsin, she is a proud Green Bay Packers fan. The Denault family loves swimming, camping, cruising, going to concerts, dancing to music, eating grilled food, having s’more at bonfires and spending time with friends and family and their dog, Reggie.
