Joining Olivet's faculty — first as an adjunct professor in 2010 and then as a full-time faculty member in 2013 — has been a career highlight for Professor Kimberlin. Currently, she teaches dietetics courses primarily, including community nutrition, food systems management, sports nutrition, and nutrition education and counseling.

In addition to being a registered and licensed dietitian (R.D.), she is also a certified nutrition educational specialist through the Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior, and has served as a textbook editor. Her professional experience is in the areas of clinical dietetics and corporate wellness. She has received numerous service excellence award nominations in her work as a clinical R.D. with Sodexo.

Professor Kimberlin is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS), South Suburban Dietetic Association (SSDA) and Kappa Omicron Nu honor society.

When not in the classroom or lab, she heads for the outdoors and enjoys biking, hiking and running. She also likes to cook, read and spend time with her family. She is married to Dale and is stepmother to his adult sons, Michael, Ryan and Jacob.

She is the faculty sponsor for Kappa Omicron Nu, the honorary society for Family and Consumer Sciences.
