Olivet’s Office of Counseling Services is committed to evaluating, exploring, educating, equipping and empowering students for personal, academic and Christian growth.
At ONU, the well-being of our students is our top priority. At the Counseling Center, the therapeutic process is designed to assist students in coping with mental, emotional, educational, social, cultural and behavioral concerns. Staff members, who are Christ-centered professionals, work to develop a supportive and nonjudgmental environment for all students.
Every student who requests counseling services is guaranteed an initial evaluation session and a feedback session. However, not all students are guaranteed to receive ongoing therapy services.
Some problem areas are beyond the resources and/or training of a university counseling center. The Counseling Center and therapists reserve the right to refer students to services outside Olivet if they feel it is in the client’s best interest. We do not take court-ordered referrals.
Office Hours
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (by appointment only)
After-hours appointments are scheduled by individual therapists. A therapist is on call after office hours for extreme emergencies and can be reached through campus Resident Directors.
