This demanding, high commitment program will prepare students to succeed in a teaching career upon graduation. Students will study early adolescent development, classroom management, instructional technology, teaching diverse populations and more.

With more than 100 required practicum hours in a variety of urban and rural settings, and 60 full official school days of student teaching, elementary education graduates will be fully prepared to enter the workforce.

Middle School Endorsement

A teacher who earns a Middle School Endorsement is more marketable when entering the teacher workforce.
The endorsement broadens the range of grade levels a teacher is licensed to teach. Elementary education majors can complete the necessary requirements to receive a Middle School Endorsement qualifying them to teach grades 5–8 in math, science, English/language arts or social sciences.
