Christian Ministry Major

Major

School of Theology & Christian Ministry

This major is designed for students called to full-time ministry in the church or parachurch setting. It provides a core of Biblical and theological courses to serve as a foundation for the student’s intellectual and spiritual development.

These are coupled with courses that prepare students for the practical nature of ministry. While this major alone does not meet ordination requirements, the student will be well-prepared for graduate school or seminary. This major is small enough to allow for a second major as well.

Programs of Study

Jessica Fleck

“Olivet was formative for my professional life and transformative for my spiritual life.  It was at Olivet where I became more aware of how important Next Generation scholarship is for the future of the church.  The school prepared me excellently for a life of ministry leadership and resilient faith.  I have had the opportunity to lead church, non-profit, and academic ministry with the strong foundation given to me by the professors and administration at Olivet.”
