Dr. Figus joined Olivet’s full-time faculty in 2019 as chair of the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences and a professor. She teaches courses in the Interior Design program.
Dr. Anne Figus earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology from Illinois State University, a Master's degree in Higher Education from Loyola University, and a doctorate in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University. She is a certified Project Management Professional and graduated from the Chair Academy for Leadership and Development. Dr. Figus has been in higher education for 22 years as a professor and has served in various leadership positions. From 2000 to 2004, she was an adjunct professor at Olivet, teaching Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) for interior design.
Dr. Figus is a member of the Watermark Insights Knowledge Ambassador, the Project Management Institute, Association for the Assessment of Learning in Higher Education, Society for Technology in Education, Kankakee Community College Technology Advisory Board, the American Society of Interior Design Educator's Council, and the Maternity BVM Credit Union Board of Directors.
In her leisure time, she enjoys cooking, photography and fishing with her husband, Eddie.
