Oakland City University Students

In response to the recent announcement of Oakland City University’s decision to suspend undergraduate programming, Olivet Nazarene University is offering an invitation to OCU students who would like to transfer to ONU.

Financial Aid

Colleges and universities often use scholarships and grants to discount the cost of tuition for students. These scholarships and grants are awarded based on academic merit, financial need, or other criteria. However, these discounts typically do not cover the full cost of tuition and there is usually a remaining balance that students are responsible for paying out of pocket.

In response to OCU’s transition, Olivet wants to help OCU students who want to continue their in-person studies, and to make the transition to Olivet as affordable as possible. We have decided to match the tuition rate for OCU students. This means that if you were paying $10,000 a year for tuition at OCU, Olivet will match that $10,000 tuition rate for OCU students who transfer to Olivet. However, it’s important to note that the tuition match only applies to the cost of tuition, and not to other expenses such as fees, housing and meals. This means that while your tuition costs will remain the same at Olivet, your overall cost of attendance may be higher or lower depending on these other expenses.

  • Current, full-time, undergraduate students at Oakland City University applying to be an undergraduate student at Olivet Nazarene University (this includes recent graduates who committed to enroll at OCU in fall 2026).
  • Must be accepted to Olivet and file the FAFSA
  • Excludes athletic awarding, ROTC scholarships and military benefits
