- Receiving the scholarship requires signing a Teaching Agreement / Promissory Note. Unfulfilled teaching converts the scholarship to a 5% loan.

Eligibility for the Teachers of Illinois Scholarship is based on specific criteria established by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). One key eligibility factor is whether you attended an eligible Illinois public school district at any point during kindergarten through grade 12.
You may also qualify if you are currently teaching, or willing to teach, in an eligible underserved Illinois school district.
