Advice for New Students: Come into college with an open mind! You will be exposed to new people, new experiences, and you never know what you might learn just by trying something. College is a time for you to develop the person you want to become.
Favorite Class at ONU: Surprisingly, Greek I and II were my favorite classes. It was fascinating to learn something from scratch, but seeing my own progress, as well as my peers’, was extremely rewarding. From learning the letters of the Greek alphabet to being able to read the Bible in one of its original languages, Greek never failed to keep me interested.
Best Olivet Memory: November 2nd, 2016. My freshman year hundreds of students gathered in the lower level of the rec center to watch what would be the greatest Major League Baseball game to-date. While I am wholeheartedly a Detroit Tigers fan, seeing the Chicago Cubs break a 108-year World Series drought, surrounded by so many Cubs fans, was the most electric night of my Olivet career.
Favorite Campus Tradition: Ollies Follies is an amazing event to kick off each year. Whether you’re into athletics, wacky games, or performance, Ollies Follies has something for everyone!
Hobbies: I am always down to grab some friends for an evening of volleyball, tennis, frisbee, etc. I love being active, but I love spending quality time with my friends more. For solo-hobbies, I enjoy puzzles, LEGOs, and anything related to Spider-Man.
Favorite Thing to do in Bourbonnais: I love watching movies, especially when it’s cold outside. Luckily, there are three amazing movie theaters in the area! With the student discount card, catching a movie with some popcorn and a drink makes for a nice, relaxing evening.
Favorite restaurant in town: Mi Casa is just a few hundred feet from campus and has some of the best tacos in town. I only wish I had tried it sooner!
Favorite Bible Verse: Proverbs 16:3, "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans."
