Dr. Simone Twibell currently serves as the Director of Intercultural Studies and Ministerial Missions undergraduate degree programs. Ordained as an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2012, she served as a pastor in Illinois and Kentucky for ten years and as a volunteer short-term missionary in Central America for three years prior to her current assignment at Olivet.

Dr. Twibell is a regular contributor to Holiness Today and has authored several book chapters and scholarly academic articles. Selected as the Waybright Scholar, she received her Ph.D. in Intercultural Studies at Trinity International University and was awarded the Kenneth Kentzer Memorial Award for academic excellence and Christian character in 2019. She is a member of several professional societies and a member of the International Course of Study Advisory Committee in the Church of the Nazarene.

Dr. Simone Twibell resides in Bourbonnais with her two children, Lucas and Sofia. Her recreational interests include triathlons, reading, and travel.
