Social Work and Criminal Justice

Professor Salomone joined Olivet’s full-time faculty in 2021. She teaches classes related to human diversity, foundational concepts of social work, mental health, and social work within a group context. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois.

Professor Salomone has had the opportunity to work in the areas of community mental health and school social work, often supporting and advocating for children and adolescents experiencing a mental health crisis. Her career has provided her the opportunity to work closely with hospitals, law enforcement, an attendance assistance program, and multiple school districts.

She currently volunteers with Harbor House, a local agency offering confidential and comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence.

Professor Salomone is strongly invested as a member of New Life Church in Momence. She and her husband, Jake, were married in 2015 and welcomed their son, Levi, in 2020 and their daughter, Gabriella, in 2022. She enjoys travel, coffee and spending quality time with her family.
