Professor Salomone joined Olivet’s full-time faculty in 2021. She teaches classes on crisis intervention, human diversity and human behavior in the social environment. She is a Licensed Social Worker in the state of Illinois.
Professor Salomone has had the opportunity to work in the areas of community mental health and school social work, often supporting and advocating for children and adolescents experiencing a mental health crisis. Her career has provided her the opportunity to work closely with hospitals, law enforcement, an attendance assistance program, and multiple school districts.
She currently volunteers with Harbor House, a local agency offering confidential and comprehensive services to survivors of domestic violence. Additionally, she is an active participant in the Community Commission to End Domestic Violence.
Professor Salomone is strongly invested as a member of New Life Church in Momence. She and her husband, Jake, were married in 2015 and welcomed their son, Levi, in 2020. She enjoys travel, coffee and spending quality time with her family.
