Dr. Beth Patrick-Trippel is a member of the Department of Communication faculty at Olivet Nazarene University. In addition to teaching the general education course Comm 105, she also teaches courses in Philosophy of Human Communication, Persuasion and Media Influence, Communication Theory, and Professional Communication.

Parlaying her experience in event management and event design, Dr. Patrick-Trippel has led the development of event planning courses at ONU and continues to work on program development to serve several majors and concentrations at Olivet.

Before coming to Olivet, Dr. Patrick-Trippel taught at Fisk University in Nashville, TN. Her interest in multi-cultural education has provided opportunities to speak and write on the subject since being at Olivet, in addition to teaching the intercultural communication course.

In 2004, Dr. Patrick-Trippel’s dissertation titled, “Experiential Learning in Communication Courses: Development and Evaluation” won the Outstanding Dissertation Award from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Patrick-Tripel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Trevecca Nazarene University; a Master of Speech Communication degree from Auburn University; and the Ed.D. from Nova Southeastern University.
