Please take note of all the announcements, workshops, and activities that your student can take advantage of; and there's some things just for you!

We can't highlight everything so feel free to check out our News and Events pages on the main website.

I hope that the enclosed information is helpful to you. If you have any questions about the content or recommendations for items to include in the next bi-monthly newsletter, please email ONUcares@olivet.edu. You can also feel free to reach out with any questions or if you just need some advice, direction, or prayer! Also, please check out our resources for parents on our website: Parent Resources.

From the Office of the Registrar:

  • If your student has questions about their major, classes, or other academic items and isn't sure who to ask . . . Encourage them to stop by the Registrar's Office in Burke or email us at registrar@olivet.edu
  • If you have a Junior or Senior, encourage them to complete the Graduation Application in Self-Service to ensure they are on track to complete their degree.
  • All students can track their degree progress in Self-Service, which can be accessed through the My Olivet portal. Students may confirm that transfer credits, dual credits, and AP credits have been applied to their Olivet transcript.
  • For Freshmen and Transfers, academic advisors are assigned. Encourage your student to get to know their advisor in preparation for registration for Spring courses.
  • Graduation and Commencement details will be updated regularly on the Commencement webpage: olivet.edu/commencement
  • Important dates and information are sent by email and the official Instagram page @olivet_registrar

From One Parent to Another...

Pray that they would be given the confidence to seek out new opportunities and connections with others. Community is crucial and we hope that your students feel a sense of belonging here!

Celebrate the small milestones and victories of the semester with them.

Encourage them to introduce themselves to their professors and faculty members. They are there to help your students!

Does your student need academic or counseling support?

Encourage them to check out these resources below.

P.S. '26-'27 FAFSA officially becomes available on Oct. 1

Students can file at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.

This is a bi-monthly newsletter, so you will only receive it 5-6 times per year
