Dr. Reynolds joined Olivet's full-time faculty in 2014 as an education professor teaching in the area of special education. 

Her 34-year career in public education included 28 years with Bradley Elementary (1986 to 2014) and six years with the Kankakee Area Special Education Co-op (1980 to 1986). From 2003 to 2014, she also served as an adjunct professor for Olivet, St. Francis University and Benedictine University.

As an education professional, she was a member of an External School Review Team for the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), a trainer for the ICE21 Mentor program and a trainer for co-teaching. In 2003, she was named to Who's Who Among American Educators and in 2015 was named a featured member in Covington Who's Who.

While earning her Ed.D. degree at Olivet, Dr. Reynolds was a member of Cohort 1, fondly known as the Centennial Cohort.

She is currently a member of the Teacher Education Division (TED) of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). In 2014, she was elected to the Illinois Teacher Education Division (ITED) board. This opportunity and experience will also benefit Olivet's special education teacher program. In addition, she is a member of the Illinois Education Association (IEA/NEA) and ASCD (Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development) and Kappa Delta Pi.

Taking time to relax outside of the office and classroom is important to her. She enjoys crafts, crocheting, reading and working Sudoku puzzles.

Dr. Reynolds is extremely blessed to have three wonderful sons, three fantastic daughters-in-law, and five handsome and beautiful grandchildren. Her son, Brian, is an independent missionary/teacher at the International Christian School of Vienna, Austria. He and his wife, Alzbetka (Bety), have three sons, Tobi, Izaak, and Cedrik, who each speak three languages! Her son, Chris, works for Google in Mountain View, California. He and his wife, Annie, have a daughter, Evelyn, and a son, Theodore. Her son, Matthew, is a 2012 Olivet graduate and teaches studio and digital art at the high school level in West Carrollton, Ohio. His wife, Sarah (Davis), graduated from Olivet in 2013.
