Dr. Tuttle's work in the field of maternal child health has spanned more than 35 years. As a member of Olivet's faculty, she teaches courses in childbearing family health and serves as an advisor in the ethical leadership doctoral program.

Regarding her professional associations, she is a member of the National League for Nursing, an organization dedicated to excellence in nursing education; Sigma Theta Tau, the international nursing honor society; and Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses.

During the 101st Commencement Convocation on May 10, 2014, Dr. Tuttle received Olivet's 2014 Richard M. Jones Faculty Award for Teaching Excellence.

Apart from the classroom and her volunteer activities, Dr. Tuttle enjoys quilting and spending time with her husband, Stan, their two children and four grandchildren.
