Advice for new students: It's okay to be nervous and unsure! Try new things, go to events, and talk to people - you never know the good that can come out of breaking past your comfort zone! God can grow immense confidence in you as you begin to venture out and meet new people!
Favorite place to eat in town: I can eat Mexican food any day of the week, so my go-to restaurant in town will always be Mi Casa. You can find me there on Taco Tuesdays.
Hobbies: I enjoy any and everything to do with being outside and being active. I love to hike, hammock in the park, and spend time with friends and family any chance I get. Being with the people I love is the most enjoyable to me, especially if going out for coffee or ice cream is involved!
Favorite thing to do in Bourbonnais: I absolutely love going on long walks at the Kankakee State Park nearby. It's so beautiful and relaxing to get outside and walk. However, I also love shopping and the best place to find amazing deals on clothes is right across from campus at a resale shop called Sequels.
Best Olivet memory: Trying to pick just one memory from my time at Olivet is nearly impossible! However, one moment I will never forget was my first Ollies Follies the year I transferred to ONU. The rush and excitement that everyone shares is so unique and I love that the whole university gets the chance to enjoy that week on campus!
Favorite class at Olivet: My favorite class was Biblical Hermeneutics. I had never taken as close a look at both the Old and New Testament texts in the Bible as I was able to in this class which ultimately led me to understand Scripture in a completely new way. I now am able to look at the Bible with new eyes and a fresh understanding!
Favorite campus tradition: One event that Olivet does is a massive Christmas party. The holiday season is by far my favorite time of the year, so being able to celebrate, eat, sing, and play games during perhaps a very stressful time for a college student studying for finals was perfect!
Favorite Bible verse: Psalm 27:14
