The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is designed for those who have completed their BSN and want to broaden their knowledge base in preparation for a leadership role or doctoral study.
The goal of the Transformational Leadership concentration is to transform you personally and professionally. Throughout the program you will interact with a variety of multidisciplinary representatives to explore best practices. You will develop, test, and evaluate ideas relevant to nursing practice, along with critically examining concepts and theories in relation to leadership. These skills will help you as you systematize moral, ethical, spiritual, and professional concepts into to your sphere of influence to lead change within the healthcare environment. Business skills have been integrated into the curriculum to give you a competitive edge and provide a solid foundation for entry into an advanced nursing leadership role. Upon completion of this program you will have acquired skills to better advocate for others, promote positive change, improve outcomes, and effectively collaborate within the interprofessional team.
