Master of Science in Nursing: Education

If you have completed your BSN and want to broaden your knowledge base in preparation for entry into academia, or doctoral study, this Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is designed for you. 

In this Education track, you will develop, test, and evaluate ideas relevant to the nurse educator core competencies, along with critically examining concepts and theories in relation to nursing practice, teaching-learning strategies, curriculum and course development, professional issues, and the monitoring and evaluation of student learning. Ethical, moral, and spiritual concepts are integrated into the curriculum to aid in the development of advanced knowledge and skills to better prepare you for servant leadership. These skills will prepare you to innovatively lead the profession of nursing forward. You will interact with a variety of interprofessional partners to explore best practices and will be able to enter a new nursing role as an academic nurse educator.
