Captain Marie “Daphnee” Rudick is originally from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. She moved to the United States in 1996 and resided in Dover, Delaware. She entered active duty as a Signal Support Systems Specialist in 2008. She commissioned through Officer Candidate School in 2012 as an Ordnance Officer. She has a Bachelor and Master’s degree in Business Administration from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Her military education includes the Basic Officer Leader Course, Motor Pool Management Course, Support Operations Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Sexual Harassment and Assault Response Course, Captain’s Career Course, Recruiting Operations Officer (ROO) Course, and Common Faculty Development-Instructor Course.
CPT Rudick currently serves as the Assistant Professor of Military Science for Wheaton College/Olivet Nazarene University. Her most recent assignment was Company Commander for Alpha Company, 96th Aviation Support Battalion (ASB), 101st Combat Aviation Brigade (CAB) where she served one combat tour to Afghanistan. Her previous assignments include Brigade S4 OIC for 101st CAB, Deputy Brigade S4 OIC, Company Executive Officer, Maintenance Control Officer, and Distribution Platoon leader in the 3d, Calvary Regiment (Stryker) where she served another combat tour to Afghanistan. She also served as a Signal Support Systems Specialist in Charlie Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, III Corps, Fort Hood, Texas.
CPT Rudick’s military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (Silver OLC), the Army Good Conduct Medal (2nd Award), the National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the NATO Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal and she also earned the Combat Action Badge.
She is married to Shane and has a daughter named Kaylee and a son named Kaleb.
